On 16 February 1918
the Act of Independence of Lithuania was signed by 20 signatories. Plain and simple text of the document which proclaimed the restoration of an independent State of Lithuania was lost in storms of history and still has not been found.
MG grupė continuing the initiative to recover a lost original version of Lithuania’s Act of Independence has established a Fund which is awarded one million euro.
The Fund will finance applications for the researches of Lithuanian history, academic activity and to promote popularity of history studies.
Our Main goal remains the same – to recover the original of Lithuanian’s Act if Independence and to return it to the state of Lithuania free of charge.
